Simpson Thacher represented the underwriters, led by Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC, BofA Securities, Inc. and J.P. Morgan Securities LLC in connection with the registered public offering by AerCap Holdings N.V. (“AerCap”), of $750 million aggregate principal amount of 5.875% Fixed-Rate Reset Junior Subordinated Notes due 2079. AerCap intends to use the net proceeds of the offering for general corporate purposes, including to acquire, invest in, finance or refinance aircraft assets and to repay indebtedness. To date, Simpson Thacher has represented the underwriters in connection with over $7.5 billion of debt issued by AerCap and its subsidiaries since 2017.
AerCap is a global leader in aircraft leasing. As of June 30, 2019, AerCap owned 949 aircraft and managed 93 aircraft. AerCap serves approximately 200 customers in approximately 80 countries with comprehensive fleet solutions from its headquarters in Dublin, with offices in Shannon, Los Angeles, Singapore, Amsterdam, Shanghai, Abu Dhabi, Seattle and Toulouse.
